Igloo started with an idea… Mortgages Made Simple
Igloo’s ethos is to remove the hassle, do away with lengthy mortgage appointments and free up our clients’ time so they can concentrate on the exciting bits. No one wants to be talking figures when they could be deciding on a colour scheme for the guest bedroom.
Mortgages can seem complicated, but they really don’t have to be. Igloo’s advisors pride themselves on being able to offer clear explanations in language you’ll understand.
Meet the Team
Damian Bastin
Lead Mortgage/Protection Consultant & Partner
Damian has worked in the property and finance industry for over 20-Years. When he established Igloo Mortgage 3-Years ago, it was with a simple ethos – Mortgages Made Simple. Damian dedicates his time to ensuring every client receives the best level of service and that every detailed is made simple to understand.
Outside of work, Damian enjoys spending time with his partner and little boy.
Matt Gregg
Partner
Matt has worked in the property industry since 2012 and runs the business in the background, from business administration, to recruitment and marketing. Matt shares the same ethos as Damian; to create a simple, streamlined service, and provide an excellent customer experience.
Outside of work Matt enjoys cooking and spending time with his partner and two children.
Sam Gregg
Trainee Mortgage Consultant
Sam started his career with our partner Yorkshire Building Society Agency. He quickly developed a passion for finance, gaining great satisfaction from enabling customers to make their money work for them, and is now training to become a mortgage advisor. Sam's attention to detail, organisation and mathematical brain, means he is taking to it like a duck to water!
Outside of work, Sam enjoys socialising with friends, snooker, golf and regular gym workouts.
Tom Louch
Tom is currently undergoing his CeMAP qualification through Igloo to become a qualified Mortgage Advisor. Tom brings huge levels of enthusiasm, drive
and attention to detail; we are extremely privileged to have him as part of the team. Having recently purchased a property and used the services of Igloo Mortgage, Tom recognises first hand, the importance of customer care and communication.
'Mortgages Made Simple' is what Tom wants to help us achieve; taking the stress out of the mortgage process and making things simple and easy to understand.
In his spare time, Tom is a rugby fanatic. He loves his sport and spending time exploring the local area with his partner.
Sophie Oakley
Sophie has been with Igloo since 2020. Sophie acts as Damian's main assistant; dealing with all the nitty gritty details in the background, from processing applications, to collecting ID and typing letters.
Outside of work Sophie enjoys exploring her local area and spending time with her children.
Julita Piasecka
Julita works alongside Sophie, organising and processing applications, ensure everything remains compliant and that every i is dotted and t is crossed.
Outside of work Julita enjoys cooking, spending time with her little boy and managing a small portfolio of holiday cottages, including her own!
